The Archival Edit 

Banarasi brocade : originating from the holy city of Varanasi. The textile is created in weaving by thrusting the pattern thread between the warp. The unique motifs and intricate designs are made with gold and silver zari threads. Brocades were originally made for royalty in the 17th-18th century; now evolving through the ages to become an iconic part of Indian textile tradition.

Composition : Brocade, crocheted frilled lace, 3 toned silk tassel lace, with tie up detail at the back with boning 

Mechanism : The corset had been constructed with paneling technique boning for a sculpted silhouette. There is a metallic zipper on the left for the ease of wearing. For size adjustment you can use the back tie up.
